First, forget the holiday park
Say "mobile home" and most people picture a thin-walled static caravan rattling in the wind. That is not this.
A Loghouse mobile home is a factory-built, fully insulated, year-round home that happens to sit on a steel chassis. Solid timber interiors, double-glazed windows and doors, proper bedrooms, kitchen area, bathroom - the same build quality as our residential cabins, in a relocatable format. Why the chassis matters: the "caravan" planning route
In UK law, a structure can be classed as a caravan if it's built to be movable and stays within certain size limits. Why should you care? Because caravans are treated differently by the planning system than permanent buildings.
In many situations - for example, a mobile home in your garden used by family members as part of the same household - a caravan-classed unit can be sited without the full planning application a permanent extension or annexe would need. This is why chassis-built homes have become the quiet solution to some very loud problems:
